DESCRIPTION:A geopolitical Emergency\nRecent statements by U.S. President Donald Trump reviving the idea of acquiring Greenland have once again brought the island to the center of international political and security debates. Far from being an isolated provocation\, these remarks have intensified existing tensions in the Arctic and reinforced narratives of urgency surrounding sovereignty\, strategic competition\, and military security in the region. \nWithin this context\, Greenland is increasingly framed as a geopolitical “emergency\,” raising critical questions for the European Union regarding its role\, responsibilities\, and limits of action. \nThis online roundtable examines how crisis and emergency narratives shape European responses to Greenland\, influence EU unity and governance\, and prioritize certain security concerns over others.
