DESCRIPTION:This roundtable addresses the critical situation of environmental defenders facing increasing pressure across Europe. In the current climate emergency\, the protection of environmental activism and fundamental rights is more vital than ever. Our experts will discuss why violence against environmental defenders is rising in the EU and what legal mechanisms can be used to ensure the safety of those practicing civil disobedience for the planet. \nAbout the speaker\nThis event bridges the gap between academic research and field experience.
