Description:
As part of the Subjective Territories cycle, Béatrice Chapaux and Katharine Throssell (CReSPo) – in collaboration with ENSAV La Cambre – invite you to a screening of the documentary film “Animus Femina”.

The screening will be followed by a 30-minute discussion with the director, Eliane de Latour.

Note: Please be advised that both the film and the subsequent discussion will be held in French.

About the film

Animus Femina explores the complex journeys of women who have faced incarceration. Through the lens of filmmaker and anthropologist Eliane de Latour, the documentary delves into their resilience, their struggles for identity, and the subjective territories they navigate both within and beyond prison walls.

About the Director

Eliane de Latour is a renowned French filmmaker, photographer, and anthropologist (Director of Research at CNRS). Her work focuses on social margins, exclusion, and the power of individual narratives. She is celebrated for her ability to blend rigorous social science with a deeply aesthetic and humanistic cinematic approach.
