Fueling Innovative Research in European Studies

EUMERGENCIES exchanges aim to facilitate research mobility to promote critical interactions between the EUMERGENCIES Centre of Excellence and foreign universities or research centres. The mobility scheme provides funding for scientific stays up to three months. EUMERGENCIES exchanges are open to junior and senior researchers who wish to make a scientific stay IN or OUT.

Two Mobility Schemes

IN Grants

Foreign researchers interested in the EUMERGENCIES project. Objective: To visit the Institute for European Studies at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles and collaborate with the Centre of Excellence academic staff.

Out Grants

Researchers from UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles working in EU Studies. Objective: To collaborate with foreign research centres and universities in domains related to the EUMERGENCIES project.

Practical Informations

What are the selection criteria? Arrow-blue Arrow-black

Candidates’ selection is based on the relevance of their research project in relation to the EUMERGENCIES research domains.

How to apply? Arrow-blue Arrow-black

Applicants are required to submit:

  • A cover letter demonstrating the relevance of the research stay in the host university and how the proposed research relates to EUMERGENCIES
  • A curriculum vitae

Applications had to be submitted at least at Denis Duez (Project Coordinator) and Juliette Dupont FNRS Postdoctoral Researcher and co-Supervisor of the Asylum and Migration axis.

Researchers participating in the scientific short-stay grant scheme are covered by a mobility agreement concluded between the sending and host universities.

What outputs are expected? Arrow-blue Arrow-black

At the conclusion of their research stay, EUMERGENCIES exchanges recipients are expected either:

  • to present their research in the framework of the EUMERGENCIES Seminar Series and/or,
  • to contribute to the Unmuting Europe podcast series on a topic related to EUMERGENCIES themes.
