European Commissioner Hadja Lahbib to Discuss Crisis Management

On Nov 18, the IEEB hosted its successful Academic Kick-off and Graduation Ceremony. Commissioner Lahbib delivered a powerful speech on the EU’s response to emergencies.

We successfully held the 2025-2026 Academic Kick-off Conference and the Graduation Ceremony for the joint programmes in European Studies on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

The event, hosted at the Saint-Louis Brussels campus, was a major success, bringing together our academic community, distinguished guests, and celebrating the achievements of our graduates.

Keynote Address: Commissioner Hadja Lahbib

We were honoured to welcome Ms. Hadja Lahbib, European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, as our keynote speaker.

Ceremony Highlights

The evening programme included:

  • The official Proclamation of Graduates, celebrating the success of the 2024-2025 cohort.
  • The presentation of the prestigious EUGENDERING Award and
  • The presentation of the Fausta Deshormes La Valle Award, both recognizing outstanding achievements in the field of European Studies.

The evening concluded with a reception, allowing our graduates and guests to network and celebrate.

Green Border Movie: screening and debate at Vendome Cinema
