Overview
As part of the course ‘Defence and security policies in Europe’, led by Professor Samuel Faure and taught during the second year of the IEE Master’s in EU Studies, a specialized roundtable discussion was held on Monday, 15 December 2025.

The session brought together six prominent stakeholders from the field of European defence and security to address the critical question: “How can Europe become a strategic power?”

Professional Insight & Exchange

Beyond the theoretical debate, the guest speakers shared their extensive professional experiences with the students, providing practical advice on navigating the job market in the security and defence sectors. The final portion of the conference was dedicated to an open Q&A session, allowing students to engage directly with the experts. To encourage an environment of free and open discussion, the event was held under Chatham House rules.
