Research

At the intersection of European studies, public policy sociology, and security studies, her research focuses on the transformations of public policies in the field of internal security. In particular, she examines the changes resulting from the dynamics of European integration and Europeanization and her current research projet investigates the fight against environmental offences from a comparative approach. This perspective has also led Agathe Piquet to explore these processes in related areas of European public policy, including migration policies.

Before joining UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles, Agathe Piquet was a postdoctoral researcher in the NEXTEUK project at the Centre for European Research at Queen Mary University of London (2020-2022) and associate research at the Centre for studies and research in administrative and political science at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University where she defended her PhD in political science.
