On Wednesday, April 15, the IEE at Saint-Louis Bruxelles hosts a vital discussion on the publication ReArm Europe and the Rule of Law. Experts will examine the democratic oversight gaps in the EU’s rapid rearmament and the European Defence Industry Programme (EDIP).
In this talk Luna Vives proposes to rethink the EU maritime border through the lens of rescue obligations. She will argue that the tensions inherent in maritime surveillance do not just hinder operations but actually advance state territorial ambitions at sea, ultimately reshaping the political geography of our maritime spaces.
