Biography
Sophie Jacquot is professor of political science at the UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles and researcher at CReSPo and IEEB. She is Director of the Institute of European Studies and has been awarded a Jean Monnet Chair on gender+ equality issue at the EU level, entitled EUGENDERING.
She was previously at Sciences Po, where she was a member of the Centre for European Studies, and where she defended her thesis in 2006.
Sophie has taught at Sciences Po, as well as at Sorbonne Paris Nord University, Sciences Po Lille and Université catholique de Lille. She also spent two years at ISPOLE (UCLouvain) as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie researcher.
She specializes in the sociology of policy analysis and in EU studies. Her research activities are concerned with the transformation of EU public policy and with the effects of Europeanization, especially in the fields of gender equality, social policy and anti-discrimination.
