Teaching

Beyond hosting the Master in European Studies, our faculty delivers research-led teaching to a broad student community across disciplines. Courses translate current European crisis governance into interactive learning through expert lectures, EU trilogue simulations, and active participation in academic seminars—offering students opportunities to contribute to research and publish working papers.

Outreach

Combining rigor with societal engagement, our team brings European Union governance issues to a broader audience. Throughout the year, we organize selected public debates, film screenings, and exhibitions to raise awareness on critical crisis management topics, making expert research accessible to all.

Access to Media

Building upon the work of the EUNMUTE Centre of Excellence (Un-Muting Europe) completed in September 2025, EUMERGENCIES (Unity and Disunity in the EU’s Response to Emergencies) is dedicated to EU emergency management research. Coordinated by Denis Duez at the Institute for European Studies (UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles), the project investigates the political and constitutional implications of crises, questioning whether emergencies foster European solidarity or, conversely, undermine the EU’s constitutional foundations and political stability.

EUMERGENCIES Agenda

We host regular research seminars, conferences and public lectures. There are currently no scheduled events. Our next academic session will be announced shortly.

There are no upcoming events.
